Lauren & Adam’s Intimate Backyard Wedding in the Chicago Suburbs

There are weddings that feel like they could only ever have belonged to one specific couple. This was one of them.

Lauren got ready at her mom’s salon, which her mom has owned for years, surrounded by her favorite people. That detail alone set the tone for the whole day. Everything about it was personal in the best way.

Then we headed to her childhood backyard and I every detail was so intentionally perfect. A round ceremony setup that her family spent months planning & doing mockups for to get exactly right. You could feel the love and effort in every single detail. The cocktail hour, the checkered dancefloor, the food trucks serving some of their favorite food. Nothing was an afterthought. Nothing was just picked from a list. All of it meant something.

And then Lauren and Adam had their first dance and the sky just opened up. The most incredible purple and pink sunset happening right above them like it had been planned all along. I could not have asked for a more perfect frame if I tried.
